| just recording it because its rare for me to consistently remember dreams and I somehow remember one from last night pretty well.
ok so I remember walking down some random random street that seemed to be completely empty but extremely well decorated with UT gear. like there was this tree with little longhorn shiny glitter things all over it to where it appeared completely orange and white. then all of a sudden this bus drove by and there were people on it and a parade followed it. I'm trying to figure out what the hell is going on because I'm always up on my UT information...and I was the only one completely out of the loop. I asked somebody and they told me..."dude you didnt hear about her? she saved so many peoples lives.." I'm like ok, wtf.... then he continues and tells me that some girl jumped in front of a train in this subway because she found out that there was a bomb down the track...so when the train hit her, it stopped and then the bomb went off a mile or so down which was timed perfectly....basically saving hundreds of lives. I joined in the parade which was on its way to campus. oh and I was wearing a blue jacket for some reason and felt out of place with everyones orange..
anyway I end up going down to the subway area and there are a bunch of people studying there in this dark little tunnel and then bing is with me all of a sudden and we climb this ladder and go chill up on this metal ledge thing thats in this subway tunnel. I see this girl downstairs thats pretty cute and whisper to bing, "she's cute! and looks familiar, do we know her?" he looks down and whispers..."yeah...I think so..." she looks up and shouldnt have been able to hear our whispers and somehow telepathically talks to us acknowledging that we can hear her. it was way trippy! ohh and my shirt, it somehow came off and into the train track and I dont know why but I wasnt wearing a shirt. anyway bing says "oh its....linda, some girl we met at the Ross!" ... (Ive never been to Ross with Bizzle). Note: this wasnt my linda, just some random girl...
next thing I remember is I was neck deep in a giant pool of water...and then I woke up.
weird one huh?

| I really dont have anything interesting to say. I have been pretty busy with tests and life, and somehow feeling a little more alive than usual. I went to the cancer center today with my mom and grandpa for his chemo. it was a pretty scary place, because some people were so young. I know it happens to all ages and all, but just the thought is kinda scary that any of my friends or family can be so easily struck by it. gotta cherish every moment I guess, and not hold back.
and I cant wait for guitar hero 3 to come out on the 28th of this month!
first set of tests out of the way.... time to start giving a shit!

| so apparently I never posted any pictures of my prized fishtanks!
so here we go!
The small tank, and by small I mean 29 gallons filled with the cute lil guys... theres even a couple heroes in there! and in for a closer look...
Theres Mohinder! yes he has no powers, and is simply named that because he's lame and stays in that exact spot!! no plot development, just narrates the crap out of that lil spot its sucking on...right there!
Theres Sylar! why is he sylar? because he hides...and is actually a shark! yep, a red finned shark to be exact! he plays nice though, dont worry...he hides right there in the arena, except when hes hungry! because when he's hungry, he eats off the floor...
Ah here are a few of the little guys, a couple black skirt tetra's and a zebra danio hanging out back there..they are just lively and hearty! they are troopers and just so fun... oh and the big tank! the 75 gallon!! how many fish can you put in there? hmm..sure a lot if its little ones, but no! this is the domain of our two prized oscars! the albino oscar and the red oscar.. They have names too...
There they are! the lil white one is leroy, and he's covering up Jenkins in the back. Those two guys are craaaazy! let em tell ya. we trained them to eat out of our hands to where they jump up and get the pellets out of your hand. except they got too good and each have jumped out of the tank so far once! hope they learned.. we can put goldfish in there and watch a feeding frenzy! its actually kinda fun to watch, if youre into that sort of stuff...
there we have it! i'll get better pictures of the oscars later, they are sorta resting at this time.. they like each other and give each other company well... | | |
| I went to visit my grandfather at the hospital at brackenridge with my cousin who was about to catch her flight in a few hours. Seeing as this might have been the last time my grandfather would see my cousin, he started giving words of advice, and old memories started flowing through his head. In his state right now, I suppose thats all he has - finally some time to reflect on his past and to teach his children what he learned from them.
My uncle asked him to tell the story of how he met my grandmother, since the grandchildren (of whom just me and my cousin were present) had never heard it before. He smiled, and looked at us and dove right into the memory laying the scene starting at age 17. I believe the year was 1943 or so, and he had just finished his high school. He was already supporting himself, when his family arranged for him to get married. You see, back in those days in India, children didnt date, they didnt know who they were marrying - but they just did.
He had never seen her, just that he was a taken man now and engaged to marry a stranger. He lived in a different town than the soon to be Mrs Chaudhry. He went to the Market one day and saw an absolutely beautiful woman standing there and thought to himself, "wow - I shouldnt look, i'm engaged!"
Little did he know... she was the one he was going to marry. They tied the knot officially in the summer of 46. If you ever wanted to know what love is like? Glance into their eyes, or into any of their children and you will know what its like. I am lucky to have the family that I do.
